ORA®-Assisted Technology for Cataract Surgery

Optiwave Refractive Analysis, better known as ORA®, is an extra measurement that can be performed during cataract surgery to optimize the postoperative visual outcome.

ORA® is strongly recommended for any patient who has had refractive surgery in the past (LASIK, PRK, RK), and is now ready for cataract surgery.

ORA®-assisted technology is a measurement that is not considered medically necessary by medical insurance. Any cost associated with ORA® will be discussed at your surgical evaluation appointment with Dr. Hummel.
